A wholesale price still needs to cover production, packing and order handling. Enter the trade price and order quantity to see what a larger order contributes.

How to use this calculator
Enter your values in one currency. The result updates as you type. Check the fee and tax assumptions before using it for a pricing decision, then download a PDF if you want a record.
How the result is calculated
Use per-unit costs and quantity, with one postage charge per order. Enter wholesale payment fees and target margin. Retailer resale margins are not automatically inferred.
Worked example
A wholesale order of 12 units at £8 each, £4 unit cost and £6 order postage contributes £42 before other costs.
What should I include in my costs?
Include the costs that change with the item or order: materials, purchasing, making time, packaging, fulfilment and applicable fees. Allocate wider overhead separately. An omitted cost will make the estimate look better than it should.
Does this calculate my tax liability?
No. Entered tax treatment is an assumption for this calculation. The tool does not determine VAT registration, sales-tax nexus, tax rates by location or business income taxes. Check unusual situations with a qualified adviser.
Can I use USD?
Yes. Choosing US inputs uses dollars without converting amounts. Country-specific presets only apply where explicitly stated. Changing a symbol does not establish a platform fee or tax rule.
Questions about this calculation
How do I handle postage on a wholesale order?
Use the total number of units with per-item costs, then one actual postage amount for the whole order. Check parcel bands and packaging at that quantity rather than copying the cost of a one-item parcel.
Is wholesale always half the retail price?
A simple fraction does not establish whether the trade price covers your costs. Calculate the actual order contribution, consider the intended stockist arrangement and choose the price from those facts.
