What this policy covers
This page covers cookies and similar browser storage used by Clear Takings. A cookie is a small piece of data stored by a website. Local storage is a related browser feature used to remember a setting on your device.
Essential storage
The hosting platform and sign-in features may use secure session cookies to keep the service safe and recognise an authenticated session. Clear Takings also saves your privacy choice for up to 180 days in browser local storage. The preference contains a choice and expiry time, with no visitor identifier. If browser storage is blocked, your choice applies only to the current page.
Optional analytics
If you choose Allow analytics, the site sends a first-party count for the page and the first calculator interaction during that visit. The count includes the public page path and a broad mobile or desktop label. It does not include calculator figures, names, email addresses, visitor IDs, query strings or full browser details. Reports cover up to 90 days; older aggregate rows are cleared when new activity is recorded.
Advertising and third parties
No AdSense, Ezoic, GA4 or third-party advertising script is enabled in this release. If advertising or another non-essential service is introduced, this policy and the consent controls must be updated before that service is allowed to load.
Changing your choice
Choose Essential only to keep optional analytics off, or Allow analytics to permit the limited first-party counts described above. You can reopen Cookie choices from the footer at any time. A new choice replaces the previous one and is applied to other open tabs of this website. When a choice expires, or you clear site data, the banner will ask again.
Browser privacy signals
When Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is active, optional analytics remain off even if an earlier browser preference allowed them. Essential security and sign-in storage may still be used where it is necessary to provide a requested feature.
