Who is responsible

Clear Takings is an independent website responsible for the information submitted through its forms and account features. Use the contact form for privacy questions or requests about your information. Clear Takings does not claim to be a registered limited company.

Calculator information

Free calculator figures are processed in your browser and are not automatically added to an account. If you deliberately save a product, cost profile, scenario or document in the workspace, that information is stored so the feature can work. Do not enter card details, passwords or sensitive personal information into calculator fields.

Contact enquiries

The contact form records the name, email address, topic, subject and message you submit. This information is used only to understand and answer the enquiry, protect the service from misuse and keep a reasonable support record. Sending an enquiry does not create an account or add you to marketing. Please do not include confidential financial records in the message.

Site activity

Optional first-party analytics count page views and calculator use by day, page and broad device type. They do not contain calculator inputs, query strings, visitor IDs, full user-agent strings or raw network addresses. Analytics remain off until you allow them, and Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are respected. Reports cover up to 90 days. Older aggregate counts are cleared when new activity is recorded. Support totals are derived from submitted enquiries as part of operating the contact form, separately from optional browsing analytics.

Security and abuse prevention

Short-lived rate limits help protect forms and APIs. A daily changing one-way digest of the network address may be used for this purpose; the raw address is not saved in those rate-limit records. Workspace requests check sign-in and record ownership on the server. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, so only provide information needed for the feature you are using.

Service providers

Cloudflare and the hosting platform provide the website, storage and security. Supabase provides authentication for existing accounts, and Resend handles requested account confirmation and recovery emails. New registrations and paid subscriptions are not open. Stripe is used for sandbox billing checks; the public website does not accept card details or payments. No advertising network is active.

Why information is used

Information needed for a requested account or workspace feature is used to provide that service. Support enquiries and necessary security records are used for our legitimate interests in handling questions and protecting the website. Optional analytics use your consent, which you can withdraw from Cookie choices in the footer. You do not have to provide an email address or create an account to use the free calculators.

Your choices and rights

You can reject optional analytics, reopen Cookie choices in the footer and remove saved items from the workspace. Use the contact form to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of personal information where the relevant right applies, or to object to processing. Withdrawing optional consent does not affect earlier processing based on that consent. We may need to verify identity before disclosing or changing private records.

Privacy concerns

Please contact us first if you are concerned about how your information is handled. In the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office through ico.org.uk. You may contact your local data-protection authority where applicable. Hosting and email providers may process technical information outside the UK. Do not include sensitive financial records in a support message. You can use the contact form to ask about the providers involved in your request.

Retention and changes

Saved records are kept so existing account features can work; you can remove individual items or request deletion through the contact form. Enquiries are retained while the request and any related follow-up or dispute need to be handled. Privacy requests may require an identity check before private information is disclosed or changed. This policy will be updated before new payment, advertising or data-processing services are introduced.
